Job Description: ベ Installs and administers new and existing Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP HP-UX, Redhat Linux and SUSE Linux servers, including Veritas Cluster and HACMP Cluster servers. ベ Add services to cluster control on Veritas and HACMP clusters. ベ Perform cluster service and failover validations. ベ Coordinates with client management to formulate complex technical solutions. Informs client management of appropriate developments in technical support products. ベ Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness. Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies. ベ Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex solutions. Coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate. ベ Develops and analyzes highly complex system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to maximize system performance. ベ Conducts capacity planning reviews with management and approves capacity plans formulated by less experienced personnel. ベ Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application. Monitors database maintenance and provides appropriate recommendations, when required. ベ Coordinates with business development personnel on proposals and work estimates involving highly complex system administration projects and solutions. ベ Researches current systems technology and serves as subject matter expert on complex systems processes and procedures. ベ Provides technical leadership to internal and external personnel on highly complex system ベ installation processes. Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced personnel. ベ Provides technical leadership to appropriate personnel on highly complex system administration activities. Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues. ベ Physical installations and relocations of servers into racks within the customer data center. ベ Performs physical hardware modifications and upgrades as directed by the customer. Basic Qualifications ベ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience ベ Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred ベ Seven or more years of technical experiences in a client-server environment ベ Experience working with highly complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance ベ Experience working with company products and services ベ Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures ベ Experience working with highly complex system implementations and organizational processes ベ 5 years experience setting up and administering with Veritas Cluster servers on the Solaris operating system ベ Familiarity with IBM HACMP Cluster servers Other Qualifications ベ Strong analytical and problem solving skills ベ Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel ベ Strong communication skills ベ Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills ベ Good ability to lead and work as part of a team ベ Excellent project leadership skills.Please respond to Jesse Neville at jneville@tcml.com or by phone at 800-617-6172 x4384 and reference job # 09-03687.
